REAL-WORLD EVIDENCE VS REAL-WORLD DATA INFOGRAPHIC

The FDA has recently released a framework for incorporating Real-World Evidence (RWE) in research for drug and device development for medical treatments and interventions. Although the framework describes the implementation of RWE, it does not directly address how using such data will impact your research, or what special considerations must be taken into account when submitting this research for FDA approval. As this program is still relatively new, it is difficult to envision how the logistics of utilizing RWE will play into the FDA approval process, or when it is appropriate to incorporate real-world data (RWD).
